What has always inspired my career is to be as creative, authentic and dedicated in my managerial work as artists are in their artistic endeavours. I thoroughly enjoy combining management, finance, marketing and artistic content to realize ambitious ideas, and to bring with the resulting products awe, enjoyment, thought and debate to audiences.
In 2012, I relocated from Amsterdam to Melbourne, where I’m currently employed as Performing Arts Programmer at Arts Centre Melbourne. At the Arts Centre, I work across all arts forms, realizing projects ranging from large scale international dance productions to iconic Australian theatre works, from international circus hits to Indigenous Australian music concerts. Besides my work at Arts Centre Melbourne, I also contribute to the Victorian arts sector as a member of the Dance Panel of the Green Room Awards and the Artistic Panel of the Poppy Seed Theatre Festival. I’m also a peer assessor for both Creative Victoria and the Australia Council for the Arts. Lastly, I'm Executive Producer of Countertechnique, a movement system taught by 28 teachers worldwide.
Before coming to Australia, I’ve had an exciting career in the Netherlands, amongst others as the Executive Producer of dance company anoukvandijk dc, as Manager International Projects at the Theatre Institute of the Netherlands and as Co-Curator of the annual Dutch Dance Festival.
